Maserati Birdcage 1961 longtail
Pictures in this section show the various assembling phases of the model, with particular attention to self-built details. Starting from a 1/43 AMR kit, the “Maserati Birdcage 1961 longtail” was modified by eliminating some basic parts in order to embellish them with new components built from scratch (see captions). For the full building process 120 hours were necessary, 40 hours of which for solely soldering together the cage rods.
