McLaren MP 4/6 World Champion 1991
The model was built on a Tameo WCT base. Every single part was modified to obtain the most realistic result as possible. External wiring of various junction boxes was created from scratch. The cockpit was re-built by adding new details, especially the photoengraved seat belts, painted in the typical anodised blue.Other cockpit details include: micro-rivets, various pipes, medic air duct etc. Particular care was taken to engine construction by adding dozens of details like intake trumpets, injection system, candle wires with relative pins, oil tanks (obtained in nickel), radiators turned junctions etc. Car body was painted in McLaren fluorescent orange, a surely more realistic technique than using decals... In all, more than 200 components were built from scratch and added to the original kit in order to manufacture this model.
